The Multiplier Group has been established to promote the institutional uptake of the results coming out of AgriSpin. To reach this goal, the primary objective of the Multiplier Group is to allow the widest possible involvement of relevant actors in the EU. The first recommendations of the group are ready.

The Multiplier Group is composed of a group of experts coming from different EU countries who work in the field of agricultural innovation and innovation support. This ensures the promotion of the institutional uptake of interactive innovation processes and the adaptation of agricultural innovation services.

Through this approach, the AgriSpin Multiplier Group aims at fostering the implementation of efficient innovation support services across the European countries.

Tasks of the Multiplier Group

The tasks of the Multiplier group are to develop recommendations for the wider adoption of AgriSpin outcomes as well as to identify options to improve national and regional innovation support services within the Rural Development Programs (RDP) and to promote potential synergies. Finally, the group will suggest possible new operational schemes under the framework of RDP and EU Cohesion Funds.

The First Recommendations Are Ready

In its first report, the Multiplier Group suggests greater use of formal communication channels, such as the EIP AGRI Network to better disseminate the project results.

Also, the group finds that Cross Visits are an interesting tool that can help the Rural Development managing authorities take greater account of cross-border cooperation activities. Study visits in the form of Cross Visits could be part of training measures and projects in order to facilitate dialogue between the actors involved in the innovation process.

Furthermore, in the opinion of the Multiplier Group, AgriSpin should pay special attention to the Innovation Support Services role in facilitating the removal of barriers to innovation.

And finally, the Multiplier Group suggests that AgriSpin should look carefully at the possibility to integrate the existing Rural Development tools in order to foster the implementation of the interactive innovation approach.
